Tamari Almonds

You’re always asking for healthy snack options and these Tamari Almonds are a great savory option to throw into your snack rotation. To make them the perfect “naked snack,” stock up on almonds and hemp seeds from the bulk section of your supermarket to avoid plastic packaging, and opt for organic tamari that comes in a glass bottle!

This recipe has only 3 ingredients and is plant based, gluten free, sugar free, and full of healthy fats and protein for sustained energy!

I love these as a snack, but you can also throw them onto a salad or a stir fry for an extra salty crunch!

Let me know what you think!

Ingredients:

  • 2 CUPS ALMONDS

  • 3 TBSP LOW SODIUM TAMARI

  • 2 TBSP HEMP SEEDS

Instructions:

  1. Add the almonds to a pan over medium heat. Pour over the tamari and mix until evenly coated.

  2. Sprinkle the hemp seeds over the tamari almonds and continue to mix every few minutes for about 10 minutes.

  3. Transfer the almonds to a plate and let cool. (If you don’t want them to stick together make sure they don’t touch while cooling).

  4. Once cool, enjoy them on their own as a snack, or throw them onto a salad or veggie stir fry!

  5. Store in an airtight glass container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
