Vanilla Cake Bites- no waste, so much taste!

Sometimes living a healthy, low waste life can seem incredibly inconvenient. However, what I’ve learned after 4 years of this lifestyle is that inconvenience is all relative. And, there are SO many ways that we can make this lifestyle more convenient.

Because I make a lot of my food at home, it’s really nice that I can rely on a few appliances to make my low waste life more convenient. The NutraMilk is KEY. I use it every single week to make nut milks and nut butters. And it’s now almost completely replaced my food processor.

When you make almond milk using a cheese cloth, it’s messy and there’s a lot of almond meal or pulp leftover over. You can make it into almond flour, however sometimes there isn’t time for that. When making almond milk using the NutraMilk, on the other hand, there’s little left over. The leftover is only about ~1/2 cup of almond skins.

I don’t even like to waste the little leftovers from making almond milk in my NutraMilk! So, I came up with these Vanilla Birthday Cake Bites using the almond skins. Take 10 minutes after making your almond milk to make this amazing snack. It’s perfect for when you want to “Snack Naked” (aka my term for when you snack on foods that are plastic and package free!).
